ANANTA release date: what's confirmed so far

Last reviewed: July 7, 2026

Confirmed by official sources OK

  • Platforms: PC (own launcher), PlayStation 5, iOS and Android.
  • Free-to-play. No character gacha or limited banners — all characters unlock through play; monetization is cosmetics (outfits, vehicles, home customization).
  • Developed by Naked Rain (Hangzhou + Montreal), published by NetEase Games. Announced as Project Mugen at Gamescom 2023, renamed ANANTA in December 2024.
  • The game received its Chinese release license in December 2024.
  • A playable PC demo ran at Tokyo Game Show 2025: a Story Mode car-chase mission plus a free-roam Exploration Mode.
  • A closed technical test took place in January 2026 with positive tester feedback.

Not confirmed — treat as rumor RUMOR

  • A "late Q3 2026" global launch target has circulated from community and industry chatter. NetEase has not announced any date or window.
  • ANANTA was absent from the NetEase 520 showcase in May 2026 and from Summer Game Fest. Silence is not a delay announcement — but nothing is dated.
  • A long list of possible multiplayer modes (battle royale, extraction, racing and more) circulates from community digs; none are officially announced.
  • The next realistic reveal windows are ChinaJoy 2026 and Tokyo Game Show 2026.
