When does ANANTA release?
No release date has been announced. Platforms (PC, PS5, iOS, Android) are confirmed; community chatter points at late 2026, but nothing is official. See the release tracker for what's confirmed.
Is ANANTA free? Is there gacha?
Free-to-play, and NetEase has said there are no limited-time character banners: every character is obtainable through gameplay. Monetization is built on cosmetics — outfits, vehicles, home customization.
What exactly will cost money?
According to the lead producer, houses and vehicles are customizable largely with in-game currency, while limited-time event outfits and similar special items will be paid content. Character power is never sold.
Which platforms will it run on?
PC via a dedicated launcher, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android. Other platforms may be announced later.
Is it an MMO? Will there be PvP?
No. ANANTA is a single-player open world with four-player co-op planned; co-op may not be available right at launch. Lists of possible PvP modes circulating online are unannounced — rumor for now.
What phone will I need?
Nothing official yet. Based on the game's scale, testers expect flagship-class hardware — a recent Snapdragon 8-series on Android or an iPhone 13 Pro and newer. Treat this as an estimate until official requirements appear.
Who is making it?
Naked Rain, a NetEase studio with teams in Hangzhou and Montreal; lead producer Qiyang (Ash Qi). The game was first shown as Project Mugen at Gamescom 2023.
What is the story about?
Nova City lives in the shadow of a meteor disaster tied to Chaos — a force that warps reality and grants Espers their powers. You lead the revival of the A.C.D., the task force built to handle serious Chaos incidents, while unraveling what figures like Dila are after.
Is there cross-save / cross-progression?
Not officially detailed yet. Since the game targets PC, PS5 and mobile as one ecosystem, shared progression is widely expected — but until NetEase confirms it, treat it as unannounced.
How big is Nova City?
Roughly Manhattan-sized and explorable from the rooftops down to the metro. The developers have said the world will expand after launch with new districts and even additional cities.
Where can I pre-register?
Chinese pre-registration is open at ananta.163.com. Global pre-registration hasn't opened yet — it will appear on the official site and social channels, and our newsletter flags it the day it happens.
